  • The manufacturing, PMI jumped to 53.0 in Apr, its highest level since June 2022.
  • The services, PMI fell to 52.8 in Apr, consistent with the slowest pace of expansion in the sector since Jan 2024.
  • The construction PMI eased to 52.4 in Apr, indicating a slower pace of expansion. 
  • Residential property transactions fell by 2.9% YoY in the 3mths to April 
  • The unemployment rate has been below 5% for over 3 years, the longest such sequence on record.
