Dear Reader,

AIB have organised an exclusive event on the topic of ‘eFraud and Cybercrime – Insights for your Business’, and I would like to extend an invitation to you.

The event is designed to raise awareness across Accounts Payable and Treasury Departments, and to provide practical advice on how to deal with the increasing threats of eFraud and Cybercrime. According to a recent Global Information Security Survey conducted by EY, 57% of responders said they had suffered a ‘significant cybersecurity incident’.

Charlotte Kenneally, Head of Treasury Back Office Operations at Ervia has kindly agreed to join us, and will share some of her experience in dealing with these threats at a corporate level. Detective Superintendent Michael Gubbins of the Garda Cyber Crime Bureau will provide some valuable insights into the work of his team and the real incidents they deal with on a daily basis.  Shauna Hunter of the AIB eFraud & Payments department will discuss some of the practical steps taken at AIB to monitor payments for signs of possible fraud attempts. We will also have an interactive Panel discussion with industry experts, at which you will have the opportunity to ask questions and contribute thoughts.
